Konu ekleRequest about Gagwiki
[kaynağı düzenle]Hello user:Johannnes89
We had discussed on Bright's nomination, how a Gagwiki policy could be introduced. There are now some discussions in the Village Pump (Meydan) of gagwiki about this. Two sysops from trwiki, and a patrol, are repeatedly attacking us and scolding us, in a way that I believe violates AGF. One of the sysops has started contributing, and I welcome their contributions, and I welcome them participating in votes in the future, however, I don't welcome their harsh words against us and their attitude. I am also reluctant to do any actions as a sysop against what I believe to be non-productive and hostile engagement, seeing as my sysop role is temporary and that this may be taken as abusing it.
Kadı has called for my block on trwiki, even after the CU process proved my innoncence. (https://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikipedi:Denet%C3%A7i_iste%C4%9Fi/Dava/Onyeddi) Wooze had submitted a VRT request and hadn't said anything else in Bright's nomination, and has only started engaging now, with a hostile message. With all this context, I believe that the conflict from trwiki is being carried over to Gagwiki. We can't keep contributing productively as long as this attack continues.
I believe that we are at a deadlock at this point, and your input on this would be greatly appreciated. Çınarcan (mesaj) 18.18, 4 Baba Marta 2025 (+03)
- When I found out there was a sysop nomination here, I came to comment on it. It's normal for me to come and evaluate candidates because, on sister projects and small wikis, there is a need for such evaluation. However, I realized that the candidate did not know the Gagauz language, as it was stated on their user page. They answered a question in the same nomination and said, "I'll detect poor/machine translations and delete the pages," so I thought, "How?" I pointed out that this was impossible due to a lack of information. I expressed I were opposing mainly because of that, but I also mentioned that the candidate lacked knowledge about copyright, they violated copyright & applied to be a sysop on that wikiproject. I also said "let's focus on the languages we know and making the right contribution. I really can't understand making a contribution in a language you don't know and then stating that you can check that contribution under these circumstances." but it was mainly about wanting adminship rights, claiming that they can determine the right & wrong translation with zero knowledge about that language.
- Then I was asked, "Do you intend to contribute?" with the intention of rejecting my vote. According to the policies, I didn’t need to make any commitment to ensure that my opinion was considered/counted, and I didn’t respond to this question directly since the matter and my future plans were unrelated. I still believe that opinions should be evaluated based on the reasoning and evidence behind them. I only questioned "did you ask this question on your nomination Çınarcan?" Because there are two users, one of them had relatively lower contributions on gag.wiki & the other one came here to vote Çınarcan (support) on that nomination. I guess it's ok to support somebody, but not oppose them.
- Before the nomination was concluded, Çınarcan tried to reduce my opinion to "just a negative opinion" and "an opinion given just to be negative," on meta, with this comment: "It is clear that they came here just to vote negatively." I didn’t raise my voice, even though I had the right to do so.
- I began contributing to gag.wiki, and Çınarcan made a sarcastic remark on my talk page saying, "It is possible to contribute in any language if you want, and we have all seen this together."
- As an answer I said that "I never said that no contribution can be made, I said that in the context of sysop nomination" Also, I pointed out that this was a behavior I wouldn't expect from a sysop. They didn't say anything about being sorry about this behaviour.
- It doesn’t end there... I expressed my opinion in the Village Pump regarding "determining criteria for voting," and asked, "Why are you determining the voting criteria before the criteria for candidates?" I said, "I'm asking reasonable questions. I don’t need your approval for my opinions to be counted. If you aren’t going to count them, present your counter-opinions." I also asked, "There are a lot of missing policies, and voting criteria are useful only for sysop nominations, so why is it a priority? What is the rush?" and suddenly, I became "the attacker."
- Today, I am also being reported to a steward by the admin here and accused of harassment. I would appreciate it if you could take a look at who is coming after whom and why I need to put in so much effort to stay here. I can translate every line I wrote here into English for you or anyone who requests it. Thank you. Anerka (mesaj) 16.32, 5 Baba Marta 2025 (+03)
- @Çınarcan, voting oppose is not an attack. If you can't bear with oppose votes, you should not be an administrator. As I said before, you were advertising in Gagwiki. I tagged then you immediately deleted the page.
- In trwiki, you tried to advertise via VRT. Therefore, I gave datas in my arguments but you didn't. Please prove your ideas, your behavior is not suitable for an administrator.
- Johannnes gave this rights with good intentions, I emailed him, and I am strongly opposing your adminship, this message to @Anerka should be examined carefully. You are harrassing anerka and other editors. This is unbearable, you must stop this immediately! Kadı (mesaj) 21.14, 5 Baba Marta 2025 (+03)
- Dear Johannes, globally banned user @Dervişli and Çınarcan were friends, you can see this explanation in trwiki. Çınarcan elected with Dervişli's support vote.
- Also, Dervişli was a sock master.
- I requested it via email but I would like to request it again here, this election was not fair because of sockpuppets. I am requesting removal of access again. Sincerely, Kadı (mesaj) 21.35, 5 Baba Marta 2025 (+03)
- @Kadı I've already commented on this issue, see : I've reviewed the trwiki CU evidence and did my own investigation on gagwiki. I found Special:CentralAuth/Rimas97 as a sockpuppet of Çınarcan but the account doesn't seem to violate typical sockpuppet policies (e.g. no edit which violated tr:Vikipedi:Kukla#Kuklaların yasak olan kullanımları or en:WP:SOCK#Inappropriate uses of alternative accounts).
- Based on CU evidence it's possible that Dervişli and Çınarcan know each other, but they are not sockpuppets. And Dervişli's vote didn't even matter, without the vote it's still possible to get temporary admin permissions per meta:MVR if there's no disagreement (and there was none to Çınarcan at the time of the election). Note that Dervişli is not globally banned but globally locked due to crosswiki abuse, but the lock happened weeks after I granted temp. admin to Çınarcan. - @Johannnes89, for context, Çınarcan had stated (https://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikipedi:Denet%C3%A7i_iste%C4%9Fi/Dava/Dervi%C5%9Fli) that Dervişli and they know each other, and are (or were, then) online friends. So that much has already been publicly stated, it's not speculation. I agree with you that this doesn't change anything regarding the temporary adminship. I just wanted to make this clear. - As someone who has knowledge about the subject, I think I can be involved in the discussion, if you do not mind, I can send you an e-mail.
